FAMILY NIGHT, 2023 RETURN TO SKATING & REMINDERS

Dear Skaters & Families,

A few quick reminders as we approach the holiday season, we look forward to seeing you out on the ice for the Family Skate Night! 

1. Family Skate Night - on Wednesday, December 21st from 6pm until 7:20pm. This is for ALL registered skaters from both Mondays and Wednesdays and their siblings, parents, guardians and grandparents to join the skaters on the ice. There will not be formal coaching, this is a fun event for your skaters to display their talents to you. Thank you for being in our Club!

2. Theme Nights - Remember as well to wear RED and GREEN, or perhaps an Ugly Christmas sweater on the 21st December to celebrate the holiday season. 

3. Christmas Skating Break - our last night of Skating in 2022 is the Family Skate Night (21 December).

4. 2023 Return to Skating - Monday night skaters return to the ice on MONDAY 9th JANUARY and Wednesday Skaters now return the same week on WEDNESDAY 11th JANUARY. 

5. Skate Sharpening - a reminder to get your skates sharpened up during the break!

Thank you to all the parents, guardians and grandparents that help and support all of the skaters and get them ready for being on the ice. Thank you as well to our Coaches and Program Assistants who work so hard providing a fun and dynamic skating program.

Dear Skaters & Family, 

It is hard to believe that we’re nearly halfway through our skating season. Next week we look forward to welcoming many new skaters into our CanSkate program. 

Upcoming Events
 
1. The Load the Loader event is back to gather items for the food bank - a drop box will be located at the Community Centre lobby from 3rd – 5th December. 

2. Family Skate Night - on Wednesday, December 21st from 6pm until 7:20pm. THANK YOU! We are very grateful for the ongoing and continued support of our Program Assistants and Coaches. They make the Club possible and we appreciate their time, patience and expertise whenever they’re out on the ice.

New Skater information and reminders - 

  • We are a Scent Free environment

  • As per our helmet policy, all skaters up to CanSkate Stage 6 must wear a helmet

  • All skaters must wear mittens or gloves

  • Please have skaters dress warmly and in comfortable clothing that allows for movement

  • All CanSkate skaters will pick up their name badges at the Welcome Table. The Welcome Table will be near the new entrance doors.

  • Name badges are to be returned after each session to the Welcome Table
