Financial Information 2023-2024

Why do we need sponsorship for the Ice Show? Why do we charge the fundraising fee? Why do we need donations?

Unfortunately, our Club is currently not in a strong financial position.

The Club, like all organizations has been in a period of transition and re-evaluation since the lifting of the covid restrictions. In the 2022-2023 season, the decision was made not to host an Ice Show nor pursue any fundraising initiatives as we wanted our membership to focus on being present for their skaters and return to the ice without additional obligations. However, as is shown in the 2022-2023 Financial Statement below, registration fees did not cover all our expenses and the Club had a loss of $16,000. Approximately $9,000 of that loss was payment of 2021-2022 expenses paid in the following fiscal year.

We are hopeful this season that a return of a fundraising fee and the Ice Show in February will help our Club return to a financially stable position. This past summer, we undertook a large scale reorganization project to ensure that, as we move forward we remain more cognizant of additional expenses and avoid duplication and unnecessary purchases of supplies and costumes.

We appreciate all monetary donations and are grateful for our volunteers and skating families. We look forward to a bright and fun future together!
